Saudi Arabia's big announcement for foreign Hajj pilgrims

 


RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has reduced the comprehensive health insurance cost of Hajj and Umrah by 63% for Hajj pilgrims coming from abroad.

According to Saudi media, at the end of the Hajj Expo 2023, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah reduced the insurance cost from 235 Saudi Riyals to only 87 Saudi Riyals, which is a 63% reduction.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in its tweet in this regard further informed that the insurance premium of Hajj pilgrims has also been reduced by 73% to 29 Rials from 109 Rials.

The duration of Hajj insurance coverage for foreign pilgrims is for 90 days starting from the day of entry into Saudi Arabia and will be valid within the country's borders.

The insurance covers emergencies such as death due to accidents, permanent disability, injuries in traffic accidents, hospitalization for various diseases, and childbirth, besides the repatriation of dead bodies to their countries.

It should be remembered that this time, for the first time after the corona epidemic, a full number of pilgrims from all over the world have been allowed to come to Saudi Arabia to perform the obligation and all other corona restrictions have also been lifted.
